Help me identify this connector.... please

2006 MCS convertible. I've had this car for about 5 years now and just today noticed a loose connector hanging down under the rear bumper (just above the dual exhaust). I pulled down on it and took some pictures. Anyone have a clue where it should be connected to?

I’m gonna guess it’s pre-wired for a rear fog light, and that’s the connector to it.

Do you have a black plastic blank popped into the oval above the exhaust pipes, or do you actually have the red fog lamp assembly in place? The photo does not show what’s above the exhaust.

Rear Fog Light. Brilliant. I never knew such a thing existed. That makes perfect sense actually. There is in fact a black plastic cover just above the bumper. Thanks for clearing that up.
