R56 Base difficult cold start.

2009 Base model with 102K miles, New plugs and coil pack at 80K. Stutters and won't idle at cold start up. I need to keep my foot on the gas to keep it running when engine is cold after start up. Soon after when the car is warmed up it runs fine. I know many of the "S" models had High Pressure Fuel Pump issues but has this been the case with the Base Mini's? Could it be the coolant temp sensor? Anyone else have this issue? Help would be appreciated.

Any rattle? as in timing chain? worn chain leads to retarded timing = erratic idle and poor response. O2 sensor problems and cam shaft sensor error codes. At that mileage if the chain has not been replaced, it is well overdue.
