Problems with engine

so I’ve been having this problem with my mini for a while and I was wondering what y’all think about it so I have a R56 that has a upgraded turbo and stage 2 manic tune and for some reason when I push the car to about 5 thousand rpm it cuts off and the engine malfunction light shows up the one about exhaust emissions if anyone knows what’s goin on please help
