fixing a leaking vacuum pump

I had to replace my Vacuum Pump because it had a small leak. It was not from the o-ring but the VP it self. Should i open the VP to try to fix it?

I wouldn't bother, if it was failing then better to dump it. If the VP fails and seizes up it will take out your cam/chain/guide/valves.

VP costs about 100 bucks, safer to get a new one. Those I see in other posts that it can seize and kill your timing assembly.

BMW pump will cost your arm first. Go to ECStuning and look it up, I think Pierburg was the brand I bought. It does come with the gasket. And so far so good, it's been an year.

Yuptec is correct, the original is also Pierburg, note there are two version, the S and the non S so get your part number from Realoem before ordering.
