Spark plug issues

Hi:
I recently purchased a 2014 MCS chili red convertible with 38K miles. So I started with doing the basic maintenance stuff: new filters, check brakes and changed the oil. Next, I changed the spark plugs. Boy was I surprised what I found, four plugs totally carbon fouled. I thought with an N18 engine Mini's carbon problem was fixed. Doesn't look like it does it. After reading all the posts about spark plugs, I went with the Brisk Racing Silver QR14LS.

All the plugs look the same. Burned and carbon fouled.

Does anyone know what would be causing the carbon fouling and what I should do about it?

And another thing, torquing. The spec calls for 20nM and of course I applied 20 Ft-Lbs, which should be 14.5 Ft-Lbs. Again, thanks to all of you this post. Without your knowledge, I would have probably used a cheap set of plugs and totally over torqued them.
