New Valve covers with external PCV valves?

New Valve covers with external PCV valves?
Had a wild idea, thought I'd share.
With all the oil consumption, valve cover leaks and integrated PCV value issues, how about a replacement valve cover without the PCV valves built in, and just add them externally?
There must be a few folks on this forum that can scan in the OEM cover, get a plastic house to fab and try out.
Maybe get a cheaper cover ( in volume ) and when / if the PCV value craps the bed, it's a $20 replacement.
Also get a much more control and a real handle on where the $18 of synthetic is actually going as you'd have the external valves to tap / replace etc.
Mad idea?
