FRM Issue? 2012 S Hardtop 86k
I assume it's my FRM that went when an alternator was changed. No windows, blinkers, brake light on, red lift, and probably a few more items I don't recall at the moment. I called Century MINI in Greenville, SC and they said it should be covered under warranty. I have driven it a few days and it drives totally fine but I am concerned about driving 60 miles on the highway. Their phones are out at the moment so I can't ask them. I could have AAA tow it and probably will. Should I be concerned?
thanks,
Steve

The FRM is the footwell module (ecu) under the drivers door sill that controls lighting among other functions. They have been known to act up after an alternator change or battery reconnect / replacement. Because of placement they are also subject to water damage / corrosion if there is a water leak in the area. Sometimes cleaning the connectors can solve the problems. Occasionally reprogramming can salvage them. It seems a lot of times though the only solution is replacement.
