No Start Code U115E displayed after timing chain replacement

Good day,
I have a 2007 Mini cooper R56, N14..
I started to fear my timing chain was getting old when I rolled the 250k km mark so I got the parts and got it all swapped out, took a few weeks of evenings and lots of videos and phone calls to my mechanic buddies, but I have 100% successfully changed it, and confirmed timing is being maintained. While I was in there I took the liberty of dropping my oil pan for a good cleaning and check for any debris that might of been generated with 250k km on the engine. (nothing to speak of) Also replaced the crank shaft belt.
  • Timing was set using the special crank and cam locking tools specified.
  • Bolts were torqued as per spec for both cam and crank as well as harmonic balancer pulley.
  • Engine was turned by hand 16 full rotations and timing checked every 4 to ensure it was maintained which it was.
  • Reassembled engine, remounted engine to frame (as you know have to remove front side engine mounts)
  • Once all assembled I turned the engine over, it fired right up, little puff of smoke, expected from spillaged when refilling oil (prior to start of course!)
  • Turned off, waited 5 minutes restarted, noticed battery was a bit weak but car started no issues.
  • Turned off and all trims and tires put back on, everything ready for a test drive.
Here is where the problems start.
  • Hop in to start it and engine just cranks, nothing.... get a bunch of warning lights, immediately stop and plug in my scanner. Warning lights.
    • Mini on lift (yellow)
    • DSC (yellow)
    • ABS (only when battery is low yellow)
    • Power Steering (Yellow)
  • Codes
    • U115A - Message monitoring engine control torque 3 alive check
    • U115B - Lost communication with Engine Control Torque 3
    • U114B - Lost communication with Engine Control Torque 1
    • All codes are repeated twice on scanner
What I have done
  • Checked battery voltage, 12.4v
  • Checked Crankshaft sensor, receiving power, ground, transmitting signal
  • Removed and reinstalled Cam Sensor
  • Checked all other connections
  • Confirmed all Relays are operational
  • Re-confirmed timing with specialty tool.
  • Charged Battery up to ensure full charge.
Based on things i have read i have one of two issues unless others have ideas.
1. ECU bought the farm (fingers crossed this is not the case)
2. I have a power to ECU problem. (I am leading towards this but have no idea where to start)

Advice and thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

I am about to change my timing chain in my '09 MCS. I am very interested in what you find. I will think on your problem, and post if I come up with anything.

Wish me luck.
