metallic noises in full acceleration n18 engine
Spero in tuo aiuto.

thank you for your answer. My roadster has 103,000 km, today I want to check the knock sensor with the tester. When the car is cold I actually hear a chain noise, could it be the chain tensioner?

[QUOTE = Scudder44; 4525411] L'intera catena e le guide di plastica, i pignoni, ecc. Devono essere sostituiti. Sostituire il tenditore è un errore! La catena è già troppo lungo. [/ QUOTE]
today I removed the valve cover to take a quick look at the chain and its components. I found the two pins highlighted in red lunscrewed,
, consequently the plastic part highlighted in yellow was moved and out of place. I tightened the two pins and the plastic part returned to the correct position, the chain seemed very tight and very hard to press.
I put everything back in place, I turned on the car and the chain noise disappeared, I made a quick lap, the metallic noise in full acceleration with relative gaps and small shortcomings of acceleration remained. In my opinion, the distribution chain is not the problem but the problem is to be found elsewhere. I think that the problem is the high pressure pump, which when I ask for maximum power cannot send all the necessary pressure and creates these small voids. I'll give you another data, consider that my roadster has a rpm stage 3 preparation with turbo jcw increased 43/ 56 mm, I tried the car on a straight road, instead of accelerating full gas,
I accelerated to about 70% and the car pushed hard without hesitation and in an instant I touched 260 km / h, but when I accelerated at 100% it is as if it were drowning a bit, practically at 70% it pushes harder than when it accelerates at 100% . I'm going crazy.
