I am waiting to get my exhaust manifold and want to know if the car runs properly. I just purchased it, and someone had installed a turbo. I removed the turbo, intake manifold and air box. I installed all the original pieces and am curious if it runs. I changed the coolant and in my opinion, it's ready to go, other than the exhaust manifold.

On another note, the car has a rear bumper, seats, suspension and exhaust from a 2012 turbo mini. I plan on just installing the exhaust manifold to what is there. It looks like it will fit nicely.

So can I fire it up without the manifold? Just for a minute lol

 

It’s going to be flippn’ loud! It may not run 100% right. Beyond that, if anything is in front of the exhaust ports, they might get melted...

 

If me, I would wait for reasons stated above, plus the O2 sensors won't be online.

 

They used to say hat the exhaust valves would cool off to quickly upon shut down & warp. Could be myth but wouldn't want to test that . . .
