Discovered this in my engine bay. WTH is it?


It's on the right side under the turbo intake duct. I was able to move it and it felt like I shifted a motorcycle transmission. Strange!

Oh yeah? That is the actual shifting rod that goes into the transmission.

I think you should have shift linkages attached to this. Are you able to change gears?

This "lever" is up front underneath the coolant overflow tank. My shifting is just fine. Don't think that's what this is, but..... Anyone?

Definitely shift linkage. Missing a "counter-weight" that is riveted to those two holes. Not too hard to replace, just a PITA to access. Item #10 in this RealOEM diagram.

Thanks! It shifts great, so maybe a previous owner removed the weight to change the feel.
