Water Pump End Housing

Hey Guys, I'm in the middle of doing a water pump change and everything was going fine until it came time to switch the water pumps end housing over to the new pump.. and I cannot get a single one of the torx screws to budge, I've literally twisted 2 torx bits trying.. am I going to have to drill these out? Is there some trick I'm missing? I've searched and not found anything similar posted.

I have replaced a water pump on my R53 and can not understand what you are describing. Pictures?

Sorry folks I can't seem to be able to select the gallery on my phone through here.. but we managed and got things apart.. Have the new water pump, Radiator and fan module in and was mentally freaking out today cuz it was like the coolant still was not flowing, I kept bleeding the system and eventually things started to warm up (coolant hoses and rad) where as before it was the block was heating up but nothing else.. no flow. So yeah after I got what I think was all the air out.. but still no rad fan, I changed the resistor unit with a brand new one and nothing... keeping in mind I still have to replace the power steering fan so maybe that's preventing the rad fan from coming on.. I hear the systems are tied in together?

Here is a pic of the water pump end housing.. can understand the confusion as I'm probably not calling it by it's proper name. As you can see.. we got it done and I put stainless screws... same dimensions M5 x 16 back in so next time they shouldnt be seized in place. Car is done and back together but now I have to wait until I can order a Power steering fan so I know if my rad fan will properly turn on..

Looks to me like you took the water pump apart. Why?

The replacement pump rick auto sent did not have the end housing.. Just the pump and the rubber seal.
