P173b code after thermostat housing upgrade
2012 Countryman S ALL4
I just replaced the thermostat housing with the new version that relocates the coolant temperature sensor into the housing. I also replaced the upper radiator hose to delete the original temperature sensor that was leaking. I also replaced the wiring harness adaptor with the correct version to fit the new thermostat/coolant temperature sensor plugs.
I am still seeing the P173b fault code on my OBD-II scanner even though I am getting a normal temperature reading. I do not have a CEL, just the fault code on the scanner.
Any Idea what is causing this or how to troubleshoot it?

It seems this was an issue with the Torque OBD-II scanner app I was using. I downloaded a BMW/Mini specific app (BimmerLink) and was able to clear the temp sensor error and it has not returned since. I believe the original error was leftover from before I changed it and Torque would not clear it.
