Idle problems persist after replacing front (exhaust side vvt solenoid).

I apologize in advance if these questions have been answered but I did search and could not find the same exact issue or the information found wasnt applicable to my model and year.
For the past 6 months I have had irregular idle and check engine light, but it usually went away on it's own and idle returned to normal. But a few weeks ago the check engine light stayed on and idle has been horrible. Here are the codes that were present before I changed the vvt solenoid:
*the first code I dont remember but it was for the exhaust side VVT solenoid.
P0130
P2250
Pending p0130
Pending p2250
I replaced the vvt solenoid with a new OEM one. The P0130 code is gone and so is check engine light, have drove about 70 miles so far. The pending codes have remained with no check engine light. But the idle is rough and at freeway speeds it feels like a misfire, a slight skip in the smoothness of the engine running, with rpm around 3-4k. I tried to disconnect the battery for 30 mins, did not help at all with rough idle. My tools are basic mechanic tools and basic plug in scanner that only reads codes.
My theory was that before I replaced the vvt solenoid the 02 related codes where caused by the faulty vvt solenoid causing timing & fuel ratio issues but I have no idea.

I want to do any recommended work myself, here are my questions:

1. How in the world do I tell which engine I have? See pic of VIN
2. Should I replace the 02 sensor (again I only have pending codes. Is it worth it to replace 02 sensor to eliminate this causing the pending codes and rough idle to stay? Can O2 be cleaned?
3. How do I reset the vvt and ecu?

Any other advice would be very much appreciated!!

Using your VIN (which is clearly visible in your photo) on realoem.com, you have an N12 engined base Cooper (i.e. without a turbo), built in June of 2007 for the US Market (Model code MF33).

In case you didn't buy the car new and are interested, you can also find out what equipment the car came with from factory using the VIN on a VIN decoder site.

Both of those codes you posted reference the O2 sensor, so not sure why you replaced the VVT solenoid...

I would get a new O2 sensor before you go chasing anything else.

Thanks for the feedback....
I changed the vvt solenoid because there was a code for this but I forgot what it was...the code that was present for vvt is now gone and so is the check engine light. My post was to communicate the codes that are still present, and there is still no check engine light.
