Help tracking down oil leak
I’ve got an oil leak on the passengers side.
I’ve used some UV dye and still can’t seem to track it down. No puddles under the car when parked.
oil is collecting in the underside of the serpentine belt tensioner ( none on the topside)
and on the left control arm and drive shaft.
(it’s not CV grease as it is UV reactive from the dye and the boots are all great)
I changed out the crank pulley today and the seal. There was no sign of a leak from the crank seal.
it appears the oil is dripping onto the driveshaft and being flung around.
there are no signs of leaks from the valve cover (already changed )
it doesn’t seem to be coming from the crank sensor
I don’t really see any signs of leaks from the oil cooler / filter housing or even the timing chain tensioner.
really at a bit of a loss here.
any suggestions ?
my next step will probably be the oil cooler and filter housing gaskets. And failing that the timing chain cover
