My car has thought it has a vacuum or boost leak for over a year now. I refreshed the cooling system (thermostat, water pump, water pipe) and after reassembling the car last spring, it started triggering the code. It would trigger randomly and sometimes put the car into limp mode.
In addition to smoke tests, starting fluid test (while running), I've replaced just about everything suggested and done necessary maintenance in early intervals. Because I had thrown some bolt-ons on the car, I had a tune done to accommodate the parts, my tuner (Mario) and the dealership mechanics assumed it was tied to the 'modifications' or the lack or ecu programming. After the tune the car was happier, and still is, but I still haven't found the problem or fix. I am having some rough running issues occasionally and the car can be unhappy at times, and it always coincides with the TC triggering or pending.
Now that it's about to get cold again, I want to address this issue so the car can be as happy as possible through the winter. Hopefully I will build the engine next spring if I don't spend all my money trying to fix the car before then. Any ideas?
