Engine light on after intake valve cover change
I own a 2007 R56 S Model I purchased new it has 62k on odometer I had a whistling noise under bonnet I R@R the valve cover from all i had read that was the problem, however the check engine light came back on. Once in a while it goes off,Do you think I may have a sensor defective? It idles good and smooth and the power seems to be the same ,any ideas on this issue?

If you heard whistling with the engine running, and only changed the valve cover, I would check the plastic hose that snakes down to the manifold from the back corner of the valve cover. Its made from thin plastic, and get brittle over time, then crack and cause a major leak into the manifold.
