P1634 - Throttle Valve Adaptation Spring Test Failed

Hello!

A few months back my 2009 R56S would occassionally/randomly enter limp mode, no CEL. Turning off and back on it and limp mode would go away. It seemed to happen very rarely after engine braking towards (manual), then neutral, then back into a gear without coming to stop. But very random/inconsistent. After awhile, I finally had CEL/Limp mode and pulled code P1634 plus 2 others I don't recall, but all related to throttle body going bad. I replaced it and everything was much better for a few months. Now, the last couple times I have driven it, shut it off for an errand, come back to restart it while engine still warm, it would enter limp mode, and originally was not throwing a code. A few cycles of restarting and eventually it would restart. Today that happened again (starts cold just fine and drives fine). Today through code P1634 again.

Has anyone experienced something similar? I have only found a handful of posts with this, but replacing the throttle body seems to fix it, so kind of at a loss, unless the new TB happened to be defective. Unfortunately no close dealerships to me so hoping can DIY. Appreciate any insights!
