Do I need to re-calibrate the TB after replacement?
I have had issues with an weak motor. It is throwing MAF codes. Cleaned the MAF sensor and was going to then replace it when that did not fix the issue. Was advised that the codes are actually likely to be the throttle body not opening as it should causing a lean and or rich condition. So I am going to replace that when the part arrives. Do I need to re-calibrate the throttle body after replacing it? I have a Foxtell 510 scanner, can this tool do that task?

Or just do this.

That’s what I did after swapping in
a new throttle body (2009 JCW Clubman)
and it worked perfectly.

I just replaced my TB myself and called mymech and they told me to come by and they will reset my adaptations. I tried the reset based on the rpm website before i went to my mech, but I never noticed a change as much as when my mech did the reset. I then let the car idle for 5 mins, it wassooooooo smooth.
