Power window motor question

Hello, Mini universe. Both my driver's side and passenger side window motors ('04 S) were operating intermittently. I recently replaced the regulator and motor on the driver's side but it appears that the motor has its polarity reversed (up is down, and down is up via the toggle switch). A minor inconvenience to be sure and it's working perfectly other than this issue but I would like it to operate normally. I believe I read somewhere that a cure for reversed polarity is simply to remove the motor armature housing and rotate it 180 degrees. Is that a thing or did I simply misunderstand what I read? Thanks for the help.

Followup: I removed the driver's side regulator/motor and turned the armature housing 180 degrees and reinstalled everything. The window is operating perfectly now so the armature fix absolutely works.
