using Pegeuot OEM parts

Since the N14 engine was created as a BMW-Peugeot cooperation they do share common parts.
So will Peugeot OEM parts (that are significantly cheaper) work if replacing the equivalent OEM BMW parts?
I was wondering doing this with the HighPressureFuel pump.
Anyone ever tried this or have any comments regarding Peugeot parts?

They’re pretty much always compatible. i am using original peugeot chain tensioner, vanos solenoid etc. Hpfp is probably ok too.

Thats a great video... many, many thanks
I was wondering in order to save some money, would it be safe to take my mini to a technician thats not really experienced with minis, to install the HPFP? Are there any special settings to be taken care of when making such an installation?
