MCS 2011: P0010 code

Before I go down the rabbit hole (again), I thought I'd check quickly with you fine folks.

2011 MCS w/ 174K miles. Engine went into limp mode, CEL code P0010.

Should I follow this thread: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...code-help.html

or is there a better way to move forward?

Any thoughts/comments are always very much appreciated.

Edit: Engine is idling a little rough - some surges up to 1.5K RPM and then back to 750.

P0010 is the intake VVT solenoid, which was replaced. Below is a video if anyone ever gets this code and needs assistance:

Just be prepared that some later Minis use a torx bolt instead of a 10mm bolt for the solenoid. The Torx is a 27 or 30 size, but it is very easily stripped. The metal on these solenoid torx bolts (front and back) is like butter and strips with very light torque.
