Clutch not disengaging...maybe?

Recently had failure of the slave cylinder, so i replaced both the master and slave cylinder. Bled them (and had the slave compressed), and have acceptable clutch pedal feel...

Now this is where it gets interesting. Press the clutch in to start the car, and i get the *press pedal* illumination on the tach. After several attempts and playing with the clutch sensor, still nothing. I use the magnet bypass trick to start the car...SUCCESS!...but when i have the clutch in, i get a god awful knocking and tons of feedback on the pedal.

Not even really sure where to start troubleshooting at this point. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
