Remote issues related to ECU/BCM?

This is gonna be a tough one to explain.
I was dicking around with the k+can network of the car utilizing deepobd on android and I think its related to my issues.

My remote/fob is intermittently working on my r53 refresh and I've tried the usual new remote battery, new remote, AND new mirror receiver board. Still the same issues. When I try to lock it rarely works, if I mash lock for over a minute it will finally take. If I walk up to the car after its been parked it will unlock right away. Any time an input is accepted from the remote, it won't accept any more for a minute or so again. Here's the really weird thing, If I attempt to lock it(by repeatedly mashing lock button on the remote) my turn signals will hyperflash for about 5 seconds ONCE per direction and then it doesn't return unless I repeat this cycle. I know I'm a dumba$$ for fiddling with oem designated protocols that I'm completely inexperienced with and I regret it. Anyone have any experience with this?

Without knowing exactly what you did with deepobd, it's tough to guess how to correct it.
If you have ncsexpert you can try recoding the BCM back to stock - idk, that's my best guess.

Actually, NCSexpert was my first attempt with connecting to the vehicle but I could never get it to connect. I might try again on a different computer but I'm also just considering swapping out the BCM with a used one on ebay as I see some for under $60. I don't particularly trust myself anymore to fix it.

Try contacting adriancl on this forum. He tunes R53s but he might be able to suggest a solution for your issue also.
