Oil Pan Stuck

Oil Pan Stuck
Hey Folks -- My oil pan is not coming off for nothing. I've tried wailing on it with a mallet -- no joy. I'm thinking about just ordering a new one and then drilling into the old one and pulling it off. Any reason I shouldn't? Any insight on where I should drill to make sure I don't mess anything else up? TIA!

Yeah it will be stuck pretty good. The new specs call for a sealant and no gasket. Keep working it over with rubber mallet. If you pry the lip of the pan it will dent. Just make clean blows on the sides of the pan. I even used a 2x4 and cut it at an angle to make surface flat to the side of pan. I was trying not to dent pan. They're pretty tough, cause it came of without any dents. I feel your pain.
Hit it front to back, back to front. It will loosen up, be patient with it
