Running worse after replacing Camshaft position sensor pls help 🥺

So I have a 09 mini non turbo and I have a bad feeling I may need to replace my timing chain I've had this feeling for a while but i hadn't drove it for a while till recently because my license was suspended (oops &#129760 anyway I started driving again recently and it was running decently the engine is a bit noisy but fine otherwise until I noticed a gradually increasing loss of power and then the engine light came on obd said p0342 and p0341 so camshaft position sensor bank 1 a and I figured I'd replace it cause maybe that's the issue and nothing more (trying to be optimistic) so I got one and replaced seems pretty simple but now the rpms and super low and I just know if I drive it I'm gonna stall 😪 wtf did I do wrong like you just make sure it's snug in the hole plug the sensor part in and tighten the bolt am I that incompetent??? Please help
