Testing crankshaft sensor voltage for p0338/9
Hi, New to the forum.
My 2011 mini clubman S is still having fault codes p0338 and p0339, even after replacing the crankshaft position sensor.
After testing the 3 pins on the electrical connector to the crankshaft sensor,
Pin 1 (supply) has +5V,
Pin has ground,
Pin 3 (signal) moves from +5V to 0 volts when I test the hall effect magnet with a metal object, or by rotating the crank with the sensor installed.
The problem is that pin 3 signal supposedly needs to be +12v to 0 volts. I read on the pelican parts crankshaft position sensor 'how to' that there are voltage regulators in the module(dme?) that control voltage amounts?
