R53 hatchback replacement

Folks, I need some help, please. I replaced the hatchback on my 2004 Mini Cooper S with a hatchback from a 2006 Mini Cooper S. They are essentially alike except for the antenna booster and the rear wiper motor. I removed the original hatch and installed the replacement rerouting the '04 wiring harness (what a PITA) into the '06 hatch. I swapped over the wiper motor and the antenna booster from my '04 since I used the existing harness. Problem? Now my Mini won't start, won't even turn over. I have power to the radio and the door locks and both work fine. Of course, I disconnected the battery prior to the start of any of this work and reconnected it once all the wiring/connections were completed. I used my Gooloo jump starter thinking maybe the battery weakened in the short time I had it disconnected. The Gooloo didn't work either. I'm at a loss because the hatch connections were the only thing I disassembled. Turn the key and nothing. I haven't reinstalled the hatch lock but I can't believe that would make a difference on whether or not it started. Anyone have any ideas on where I should starting looking? Thanks.
P.S. The attached photo shows the installed '06 hatch and it has what appears to have a grounding cable that my '04 did not. The only possible connection point is the nut touched by the shadow but as I said that cable was not on my '04. Thoughts on this as well?

Just in case you were going to comment -- never mind. It was a key issue. I had recently replaced the key case on one of my keys. This one would not start the car. My other key with the broken case starts it just fine. Swapping the new case should solve the problem. Side note: Adrian Nastase tuned my '04 with a facelift MS5150 ECU that I swapped for the original EMS2000 ECU. Now I'm thinking that only one of my keys is programmed to the facelift ECU. Thoughts?

Adrian, if you see this post does that seem correct? Thanks.
