Wow. I have had my alternator off more times than I care to think about during supercharger replacements and I have never seen anything like that. Even when I was only replacing the alternator, I did it from the bottom and still never saw anything like that. Sorry.

Looks like it’s number four in this diagram. An alternator fixing bush, p/n 12317516819.

oh ok I see. Looks to go on the upper bolt on the block side. Thank you. I wonder if the orientation matters on install?

Thanks for the help.

Currently doing a vibration dampener, tensioner, adjustment pulley, alternator, water pump replacement, 15% SC pulley and SC service. what a nightmare spaghetti mess near the throttle body!

Towed car to dealership after alt light came on and burning rubber smell. I saw and told the advisor the belt was NOT moving when the alt light would come on. The tech listed that the alternator dropped voltage quickly after start up, the vibration dampener look as those it was starting to separate, tensioner was making noise, and water pump was leaking. $6000 total for repair. The advisor said the alternator replacement would get me back on the road. $1800 for just that repair. idk .. just didn't make sense to me. Towed the car home.

I was right it was right, the vibration dampener was bad and completely separated! I unfortunately took the alternator in for a rebuild before removing the vibration dampener. :(
