Brake lights "on" when no one in car??

Today, when I got home with my 05 mcs, I set the ebrake and put in gear, turned off the car and walked away. As I looked back at the car, I noticed that the rear lights including third brake light were still on. I went back to the car and hit my key remote to open the doors and the lights went off

Anyone know why this happened?? Has this happened to anyone else???

Thanks, Chris

Oh and I don't have follow me home light function set.

Mine has done this a few times as well. I never found a solution to it nor has it done it again.

is it possible that the "Follow-me home" option where the headlights stay on was inadvertantly activated by moving the turn signal....perhaps if the headlights are on, the brake lights are on too???

Nope, I tested that theory once, although the brake lights come on, the third one remains dark.
