Sorry to bring this thread back but i tried these method and i think endded up resetting the inspection instead of the oil change i think? it says 15000 and inspection when i turn the key now. not oil change. just wondering if someone could help me out.
The MINI has different service intervals. Example: It goes OIL CHANGE, INSPECTION I, OIL CHANGE, INSPECTION II. I am assuming that when a reset is done, it moves to the next interval. If I was to reset after the second oil change, I believe it is going to show INSPECTION II next. This is an assumption on my part, can anyone confirm this?
Just did my oil change per the sticky and it worked well although I think I was a little impatient taking the canister out and dripped a little oil. Then I reset as per post #2 and it worked like a charm.
