Who is the manufacturer for Mini's spark plugs? I'm sure nobody has racked up enough miles yet to replace them, but has anyone had positive or negative results from using different brands on any of your other cars? I guess this is off-topic, but I'd like to know what everyone has to say.
A friend of mine put those Bosch +4 Platinum plugs in his '88 Corvette and he said they killed his gas mileage.

I put those same plugs in my 89 Bonneville and have gotten exelent gas millage. The last trip I tool from VA to CT i got around 33 mpg and that was at an average speed of 70 with the AC on full blast in 90 some degree weather.

Keep in mind that the bonne is a fairly heavy fullsized car that is not areodynamic at all and my particular car has nearly 120,000 miles on it. 33 mpg is damn good.

My Mini Owner's manual states that the stock spark plugs are the platinum type, and should not need to be replaced until you hit 100k miles. No word on the manufacturer, but I will take a look under the hood when I get a chance.
