When do I get a check up for my new engine?
Since I am getting a new engine put into my Mini Cooper, will that change the mileage I am to take it in for service? Will I still have the same mileage I had when I messed up the car? Or will they set it at zero? I think the next time I was to take it in was 40,000. That would be in only 5,000 miles for a new engine.

I would also wonder what the warranty is on the engine.
As I recall, people I know who have had engine's replaced (not on a Mini specifically but on otehr cars including BMW) not only adjust the oil changes, etc but they did have a warranty that went with the new engine and associated work on the car outside of the car's new car warranty.

I don't know if all dealers do it, but I thought BMW dealer-installed factory replacement parts carry a two year unlimited mile warranty.
Atleast that what they said when I asked about my transmission. Which given my mileage usage is better than the orginal factory warranty. (2 yrs = 72k here)
