Has Any One Had Problems With Convertible Top Refusing To Budge When Trying To Stow It For Ride In The Sunshine? Just Happened To Us & Dread The Long Trip To Have It Looked At!

Is it hot? Are the windows down? Have you tried turning the car on and off? Have you checked the fuses? Let it sit for a bit and try again.

This problem has not been resolved by replacing the pump motor (which contains in internal temperature sensor which is obviously too sensitive).

My friends wife has "solved" the issue by (a) parking in the shade and (b) opening the roof in the early morning before it gets too hot

Well, I must say I mistyped earlier, actually,the sun roof part will go back with no problem & back but the top will not continue to fold & stow. We are looking thru the manual currently for any info.

 

Yes, that is the exact fault that Marie Catherines car has too.
The sunroof part is driven by different motors to the main folding down part; those motors apparently don't have the "too-hot-shutdown" problem.
