Dumb question about Rhino ramps

Do you guys drive up on the ramps or jack up your cars and then lower them on the ramps? I've tried driving up on them but I tend to scrape the spoiler or shoot the ramps across the garage.

Sorry. I haven't tried driving up on them with the MINI. I scrape or shoot them off when I drive up with the 911s. So now, i just jack up the cars and lower them onto the ramps. Anyone have trouble driving up on them with their MINIs?

Rhinos are plastic too. Hmm, maybe I'll look into other plastic ramps.

I believe that there are several different models of the Rhino ramps with varying angles, so that they can accomodate cars with lower ground clearance. I can easily drive up onto the standard ones with my Cooper.

Don't forget to chock the rear wheels while you're on the ramps.

I use rhino-ramps, but with a piece of 1"X4" wide wood to roll up on. This causes no scraping. My MCS is lowered.

I have the steel ramps. They used to skip forward when trying to drive up, but I put a small piece of thick rubber under the forward edge and now they are fine.

As for scrapping the low spoiler, I place a short wood plank at the beginning of the ramp to lessen the steep angle of the ramp. The tire easily rides up the wood (spoiler now clear) and then onto the ramp it’s self.

Simple physics.

Put the ramp in place in front of the front wheel. Straddle the ramp, grab the two side holes, slide the ramp back ~12 inches and then rapidly CRAM the ramp under the tire. Make sure the alignment of the ramp to the wheel didn't change. Repeat for the other front wheel.

The tire will pinch the ramp, and make driving onto the ramp easier without shooting it across the floor.

And don't forget the chocks for the rear.

edit: the above works for my Rino Ramps... Yours may vary. Batteries not included, close cover befor striking, side effects may include nausea, when all else fails, RTFM.
