MPG (S models only)
I have read some of the MPG threads and they are all over the board and hard to keep track of who is getting what. So I want to ask these specifics:
How many miles does your MCS currently have?
Auto or 6sp
Actual MPG (not computer)
Driven how in a week
My answers:
3400
6sp
29.7 mpg
my daily commute is 102 miles round trip on a 55 mph highway with a few stop lights closer to the office.
I can't seem to break into the 30 mpg . Is there a secret or are the numbers they advertise on the sticker un-attainable?
Just curious.

Auto or 6sp: 6 speed, of course.
Actual MPG (not computer): Best? about 34-35 mpg; average? 29 mpg
Driven how in a week: I drive at least 300 miles a week. My commute is about 15 miles on country roads, and since there are few red lights and I have to keep the speed down to 55 or so, I think I am more capable, compared to most mini drivers, to get fairly high gas milage. For the one time I got in the mid 30s, I was very good and did absolutely no spirited driving at all.

60,000 miles
6 sp
a) 22 mpg, b) 35 mpg, c) 30 mpg
a) autobahn road trips avg. 90+mph, b) back roads sight seeing avg. 30-40mph (kept in higher gears than normal), c) commuting 40 miles each way, avg. 75mph
The milage numbers seem flip/flopped, but autobahn driving is basically a roadrace--I've hit the limiter a few times out there; further, keeping it in high gear at low speeds with light load on the engine worked really well for conservation.

How many miles does your MCS currently have? ~7500
Auto or 6sp 6 sp
Actual MPG (not computer) between 7 mpg and 30 mpg
Driven how in a week mostly in heavy volume commuting
I get about 80 miles to a tankful when driven on the track which is about 7 mpg
I get about 20 mph during a mostly 1st and 2nd gear commute in boston traffic which is very good...
I get close to 30 mpg driving conservatively on the highway on a long trip, where computer indicates 32 mpg

How many miles does your MCS currently have? >9000

Actual MPG 25mpg
Driven how in a week 85% highway at about 75-80 on Sawgrass Expressway (trying to keep up with the flow)
Best mileage was 32mpg when I was running no more than 55mph and conserving fuel during the gas shortage after Hurricane Wilma.

About 48,000 miles

Actual mpg pretty consistent 31.5 to 32.5
Daily commute, almost 90 miles round trip mostly highway, but plenty of stop and go traffic (San Francisco Bay Area commute).
The discrepency between the computer and calculated is almost 10% (reports over 35mpg average when I calculate about 32)
I found on long trips through the central valley down I-5 when I am often pushing 90mph to keep up with left lane traffic, mpg drops below 30.
A full tanks worth of city stop and go will bring it down to about 26mpg. I think the weight for its size takes a big toll here.

19.5 - 20mpg. OBC, which seems very accurate to real world the times I've calculated it.
Back road driving. Lots of lights / go-stop-go driving.
Damn... I thought i'd be getting at least 24-25.
I do not drive w/ a light foot.

Auto transmission would get lower mpg than manual.
Check your tire pressures each week and make them about 34 to 37 psi
Don't idle on warm up for long, always check your air filter every 6 months and for best mpg use only premium fuel. I'd expect your mpg to increase since you are still under 4000 miles driven.
When new, my 2003 MCS 6 spd got-
33 mpg on 90% highway driving
27-28 mpg in mixed urban/highway 60% driving
Now after 3 years of modding
I get about 25 mpg in mixed urban/highway driving (there are no long stretches of highway free of traffic on an island).
