Its part of the clock setting....
Hold the button to set it... then when you see 24 push it again (fast) and youll see 12... and it will be on standard time

Or if you MINI is before 07/04 then you have to push and hold the two buttons on the clock for a little bit, then presto-chango 12 hour clock.

A whining boyfriend?

Leave the clock alone - get another boyfriend.

Or you could teach him how to read millitary time and be done with it! just subtract 12 and you get the time.

Teach him how to subtract 12 when the number before the colon is larger than 12.

w-h-y d-o-n-'-t y-o-u read the frick'n instruction manual!!! Or does your boyfriends whining interfere with your ability to read? :impatient

LOL! Sorry. Couldn't resist. What could be simpler? No idea why when folks first get the car they don't read that manual front to back and learn what/where/how everything is.

The manual is easy to get online in a PDF. You should check it out (do a search I'm sure there is a link somewhere here).

You can't be surprised to get the RTFM as a response since ya didn't state that you were missing it in the first post- no need to flip anyone off. I'm suprised the reply wasn't higher up

Didn't realize that I would have to state the obvious . . . of course I would have checked the manual first (I'm not as dumb as I look)

You would be amazed. We wouldn't even have the abbreviation "RTFM"
if it weren't for the fact that so many questions get asked here and on
other message boards simply because the asker was too lazy to read
the manual.

I think we need another abbreviation for those people who won't be
bothered to do a search to try and answer their question before posting
it. How about "UTFSF" (Use The Freaking Search Facility).

Wow the love in this thread! Everyone, and I mean everyone has experienced not using the search function and went straight to posting a question in a forum at one point in their lives!

Mini Cindy, looks like you take no prisoners. I can't imagine you putting up with any whiners. Back in the 70's a group called Chicago recorded a song called "Does Anyone Know What Time It Is?" My personal observations are that not many people really know what time it is, and lots don't really care. Gee, a little like the song lyrics. Have fun.
