Hydraulic motor mount leak

This is not true. They will replace it for 2 years/unlimited mileage only if you pay them for the parts/install. Otherwise if you get it replaced say at 45k under warranty, and it goes again at 55k, you have to change it yourself. That goes for any warrantied parts.

Obie blew the 'pressure cooker' at about 15k. Replaced under warranty, no q's asked.
Afterwards, I bought a TSW engine damper in hopes that it would take some of the stress off the cooker. Obie is at ~46k now, still on that 1st replacement cooker. Of course, this is no guarantee of anything, but, so far so good, as they say.
Question: Is the earlier '02 - '03 rubber biscuit style of engine mount interchangeable with the pressure cooker? IOW, can I replace my cooker with a biscuit if and when the next time it goes?

In my case I had it replaced 10 miles before my warranty was up and they told me the damper had a one year warranty, I hope your right, I hope it is two years.

I used engine degreaser with a rag and soft brush on the paint. I had to use a small brass brush on the engine. If you go with engine degreaser, I suggest orange smelling degreaser because your face will be right over the degreaser for a long time. Took me almost an hour to get everything clean.

Last night I noticed the little puddle on my garage floor, starting under the passenger side motor mount. There are also the telltale wet spots on the frame right under the mount. Mine made it to 55K+. It appears to have started in the garage, because there is no splatter on the car. I guess I will get by the local shop that works on Minis this afternoon and see what they say. Bah, humbug!
There's no puddle in my parking spot at work, so it did just happen. I didn't notice any difference in driving to work this morning

It's an ALL NEW Design to replace the fluid with a solid part that will give the same basic feel as OEM. It's got some other features I'm not allowed to release at this time that I think will move owners without a leak to replace it anyway

...and in that spirit Dustin, I think you should plan on going to MITM4 this year. I hereby petition for your first customer slot on Thursday morning so you can perform the install.

I'll be keeping a close eye on this one. Although I know I dont have to say it, please keep us posted.

That's truly truly lame that a simple component as a motor-mount lasts only 1-1/2. BMW/Mini should consider redesigning this crap using Duct tape.

Agreed... but I almost understand it judging by some of the god-AWFUL road problems here in NY... the Palisades Interstate Parkway has some real hum dinger disjointed road sections down around the Exit 13 area... I'm thankful I have the strut reinforcement plates but I know they cannot save the motor mounts...
Let's get GOING with the road repairs. Damn.
