slow to start

my mini seems hesitant in low rpms to accelerate ... how do i change this

Is it how when it does that? There are a few things that might help. If the a/c is on, turn it off. You can also turn off DSC. That sometimes calls for slow starts. Also, the S/C has a serious heat soak issue, so you could get an I/C sprayer. I made one myself off of not-so-rednwhitecooper's. Hope that helps the problem

Don't drive in low rpms?

Mash the gas pedal to the floor? <- sfodoug's fault!

Has this changed recently, or has it always been this way?
Pre-05 S models are geared pretty high.

Adjust the BPV.

Search VGS, and BPV, two go quicker sooner mods, screwdriver for one and some vaccum line for the other best $4 to spend for the MINI.
