Weird noise

So I had my local mini dealer change the windshield on my 06 MCS, done under warranty, etc. I drove it home and didn't notice anything different, though i had my radio blasting, but this morning I noticed a weird sound coming from under the drivers side dash, I think. Its a whine like a hydraulic piston sound that comes on when the S/C whines. It's hard to describe. I kind of pops on as the engine revs, and sounds like its under the steering column or something. It even does it at a standstill when I rev the engine. Befor I take it back is this something anyone has experienced?
thanks
Bob

Turn your radio off and rev the engine . See if you can still hear the noise. If the noise goes a way you have a bad ground or ground loop to your radio. Do you have an amp????

I didn't have the radio on this am. I'm familiar with the radio interference sound, this sounds more like air being sucked in, but it's right under the dash, almost behind the a/c vents. It sounds almost like there's a CAI under the dash. I don't have a CAI, yet.

Does it sound almost like a whistle, when at highway speeds? could be the AC flap, it is a known issue, there is a service bulletin out on it

I haven't been on the hwy, but i did notice that some air seems to be coming thru the ac vents. And it does sound like a whistle when I stomp on the gas going from about 3 to 5k rpm. It acually sounds cool, I just want to make sure there's no damage being caused by this.

I had that happen to me yesterday at high speed on the freeway. Can you tell me where I could find the service bulletin on it?

Thanks!
