I just got my oil changed for the first time. I live in Anchorage AK so you can imagine I did not drive to a dealer to get this done. I know many others have changed their oil. Is there a way to reset the oil counter or does it have to be done at a dealership? If anyone can help me on this I would be very thankful.

Service Reset:

!)Push-hold Trip Button (TB)
2)Turn key to position 1
3)Continue to hold (TB), the number 15A will show to the teft of the milage
4)Release (TB) for 3 sec and then hold (TB) again
5)In about 5-8 sec RST will show in the left corner
6)Release and then hold again "15000" will show, press and release
7)Car is now reset to the 15,000 service - (has completed 10,000 mile service) and will count down from 15,000.

I have followed this procedure up to step 6 with 15000 showing but did not reset. I'm only at 2700 miles now but changed oil at 1250. Note: the 15A and RST are a little difficult to read because of Capital and Small letters.

Good luck
