This one is to help everyone take full advantage of all of the information out there on the site.

Tools Required

Fingers

Time Required

1-2 minutes

At the top of each forum, you will see small yellow font words starting with New Topic. Next to that is a search. Click on the word Search. It will open a small menu. Use the keyword you are interested in - for example, ECU. It helps to also pick a forum - for example, Performance Modifications. You can then choose to see posts by a particular member (like me ), or all relevant posts. You can also choose to sort by date, topic, etc. Choose to search for the title of the thread, or all of the words in the thread.

After using it the first time, if you get too much info, you can narrow the search.

I hope that helps!

Mark (Thanks to RandyBMC for originally posting this in the Performance Mods forum)

There are actually three different search functions on North American Motoring. The graphic below should be some help in explaining the differences.

Dave

EDIT: There are now only two search functions. The topic seach (for news items)no longer is available.
