>>>>Can anyone post pics of the Mini oil filter and the procedure to replace the filter? I've have been doing my own oil changes for years but a little worried I might do it wrong and cause a major problem. The last car American car I recall changing an cartridge type oil filter on was a Chevy back in the sixties.

Very nice, and appreciated. But I would like to add one thing. It is VERY important to lubricate the O-ring with a bit of oil before screwing the canister on. This insures a good, smooth seal.

That is one creepy monkey!

I have no sources yet but I did get a response from Wix that they will be making one.
I'd recommend everyone here email them and try to show our interest.
They make a very good product.

We will be adding this application in the near future. It should become
available early next year. Thank you for your inquiry.

I'm having a pretty hard time finding a shallow 36mm socket. I tried Home Depot and most of the AutoZone-type places in Boston, but to no avail. Has anyone ordered one online, and if so, from where?

Nice day for driving yesterday!

"You just need a shallow 36mm socket - most are fairly long and those won't work. Try sears and see what they have - i got mine there and it works fine - a bit tight but still works."
That is from an earlier post. I heard someone went to a machine
shop and had one cut down....

Thanks! I had seen that post but forgotten about it. There must be a Sears around here somewhere; I'll give that a shot. Most places are unwilling or unable even to order this.

Having one cut down is a great idea, too.
