Help finding part or repair

During a recent brake pad change, I decided to use "good'n'tight" in/lbs tightening the guide bolts (the ones inside the rubber sleeve) instead of taking 10 minutes and looking up the correct torque value. Well, you guessed it, I stripped a hex fitting .
I retrieved the part name and # from the ETK database, but have had no luck finding ANY brake hardware online. Am I stuck getting brow-beaten at the dealership ordering the part, or should I just pull it with some vice grips and weld a bit onto it for future use?

Order it through one of the MINI dealers that are NAM sponsors if you don't want to use your local dealer.

So...
Mini of Pittsburg, Mini of the Hamptons, and Patrick Mini.
Anybody have any personal dealings with any of these dealerships? If so, how's the customer service? Better than Desert BMW in Vegas I should hope.
