Di ...

Unless you do some modification's to the engine to require colder spark plugs ... there is NOTHING you can do to "improve", from a performance perspective, to your electricals.

When you see people buying thicker spark plugs wires they will do NOTHING for you unless you have old, worn out wires. NO spark plug wire is going gain you Horsepower. They CAN get horsepower back you may be losing from worn wires ... just go to any spark plug wire FAQ and they will most ALL tell you that (Honesty is a good thing for most companies).

On the other hand, if you want bling ... to make it look prettier in your eyes, some ppl like the change because they can get red wires or blue wires to make them match the color of your car ... Then again ... its not like anybody on the street is going to see your engine.

It's up to you. If you want to spend money, its your money but just realize, its mostly bling

Many Thanks,
Cheers,

Di,

We're glad you're here. It's not a stupid question,

But, as others have said, think first about what you want the change to accomplish. Upgraded coils, wires and plugs have their place. But if you're looking for a power increase, start with a replacement supercharger pulley.

One other thing I consider when I do a modification is the warranty implications of the change... along with cost, impact on driveability, impact to the long-term health of the car, impact on reliability, etc...
