Service Engine Light Came On..Any Ideas?
I was driving normally (about 40 mph), normal weather conditions (65-70 degrees), and the light came on.
The car was, and still is driving fine. I drove about 15 minutes home and didnt notice anything. I stopped and restarted the car a few times, the light never went out.
My dad just checked the oil last week, so I don't think that's it. I made sure my gas cap was tight, as I know that can throw it off. I have no idea.
So, any ideas? I'm gonna call the dealer to get it in. Is it okay to drive it to the dealer (about an hour each way)?
Thanks in advance.

Free check
A free check via the OBD II connector can be performed by Kragen or Autozone etc...Then post the code, and we can look it up in the Bentley manual for you!
I have a $32 (harborfgt) simple obd II reader...has come in handy on my Mini and Honda too!...It also can turn off the light instead of waiting the full cycle....At least you will know ahead of time in case someone tries something...errrr funny!
