Dome Lights Burned Out

Our 2006 PW MCS is now dark inside.
I think the Dome Lights burned out.
The car is about 3 mths old.
Odd.
Everything else is great.
Should I fix it myself or take it to the dealer

Same with mine. I'm about 500 miles from my first service and am just going to wait until then to get it fixed.

That is odd.

You could get 100 MINI mechanics to change them for your. One to change the bulb and 99 to twist the MINI around

If you push and hold the dome light button while it is illuminated and continue holding it after it extinguishes, it will stay off until you manually turn it back on. Just a thought.

Replace Dome Light

Replace Dome Light?

I have a 2003 MCS and the Dome light stopped coming on when the doors are opened. Does anyone know how to change the bulb? I know it should be an easy question, but thought I'd ask before I go tearing into the car.

Also, what button is being referred to that will turn off the dome light, perhaps I've activated it accidently. I thought the buld was burnt out a couple weeks ago, then it mysteriously started working again for a week, and it's now dead again.

Thanks!

See chowsie's guidance in Post #3 ...

Seriously, the dome light cover just pops off. A small, flat-bladed screwdriver helps to push in on the edge of the plastic cover to free the tabs. The bulb just pops right out of its copper contacts if you pull on it. The button in question is the dome light button itself...the one located at the front-middle of the dome light cover.

Or, for added fun, you can replace it with one of these:

You can do it.
