Sunroof problem closing
I have a pre-owned '03 S and my sunroof has an awful time closing. It makes a grinding noise and I have to help it close with my hand. When opening, it runs smooth and has no problems. Has anyone experienced with problem?
It is also quiet when closed and I'm on the road...

I have an 03 also. It does the exact same thing. I have lubed the tracks and tightened every bolt, but still alot of noise and chatter. So my plans... I will be cutting the roof off and installing a non sunroof, roof. Hardley ever use it anyway.

I had the same problem on my '03.......grinding noise and seemed slow. I took some white lithium grease and lubed up the rails and everything seems fine. I didn't put the grease where the old grease is visible, I lubed the rails above where I could see the old grease thinking that the old stuff had "run down" from where it was supposed to be (does that make sense?)

I couldn't figure out what to grease ,there seems to be a couple of rails on each side , I'll look again. I didn't want to slather a bunch and have it melt into the interior I did spray some oil to see if that would help and it did not so I thought it might be binding when the unit closes caused by a worn guide
