Uh-oh. Oil spots on the driveway.

Yeah, my 2 month, 2500 mile old MINI is leaking oil.

I have to wait until tomorrow for the service advisor to call me back. I certainly hope International Autos gives loaner cars for repairs, because I suspect this could take a while to diagnose/fix, and I don't have a spare car.

It is not uncommon to get a pinched gasket during production every once in a while. More than likely that is all it is and you should be back on the road soon.

I did get a loaner but it was only a BMW all wheel drive BLAH BLAH BLAH. Still not as nice as my Mini!

With hope its just the ol leaking engine mounts - we had the same scare of oil spots awhile back and that is what it turned out to be (and whatever is in those hydrolic mounts is nasty, really stains).

The verdict is in....

rear main seal.

So, out comes the transmission, and I'm without my car until at least Thursday.

I have a Cooper CVT loaner.

No offence to those who like the CVT, but after driving it all day today, I hate it.

a. I'm not the guy who got the BMW loaner. I got a CVT Cooper.
b. I had an E46 3 series before I bought my first MINI. I'd much rather have my MINI.
