bypass valve was stuck - any unseen damage?

Hey folks,

'06 S here,

I had that nice feeling of no supercharger (no torque) at > 1/2 throttle, then hit ~ 4500 rpms and bam, into limp mode with an SES, EML, oil light. Long story short, after reading the posts here, pretty clear something was wrong with the bypass valve. So I started looking in there, see how it should rotate based on the stops, and got it unstuck by pushing not too hard on the rotating plate. YAY!

Is there going to be unseen damage on the inside of the valve? Will it continue to get stuck? Anyone have repeat experiences with stuck valves?

I've never had the dreaded Yo Yo or anything else unseemly with the bypass valve. Does anyone remember if there were changes made 05-06 that improved the valve's performance? I seem to remember a post that implied that Mini had changed to what is essentially the Vacuum Gain System (post supercharger), but I'm no longer sure.

Thanks for any info.

Luckily, plenty of time left in warranty if it does continue.
